Butt's Tubes

What better way to celebrate Labor Day weekend and mourn the waning days of summer than with our butts in tubes floating down the Potomac River.

On Sunday, a group of us headed to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia to Butt's Tubes. Very classy, we know.

With deluxe tubes (handles included!) in hand, a cooler stocked full of cold beverages (complete with its own inflatable device to keep it afloat) and a waterproof camera, we set out for a lazy afternoon on the river. Here are a few snaps from the day:

We all had to wear these smelly life vests the whole time we were on the water. I guess thats for the best, considering I've only had one swimming lesson so far. While the river in the background looks peaceful, there were a few spots with some good rapids:

This is Kevin enjoying what we liked to call a West Virgina jacuzzi. The water flowing through the rocks got a little bubbly. Again, very classy:

Here's our friends Ryland and Courtney floating away underneath one of the train bridges. This is the life:
I took this while floating underneath the train trestle. It almost looks artistic. Almost:
We found this cute little waterfall at the end of our float. You can't see it, but my knees are pretty roughed up from the rocky rapids. No skirts at work this week for me:

Happy Labor Day!
